Bachem not lost in translation anymore: case study

Bachem UK Ltd was in the process of applying the CE mark to its products so it could begin to distribute to countries in Europe. The company required information about what language it needed to translate its user manuals into.

The Solution

The Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) service found clarification of the current regulations and informed Bachem UK Ltd that the user manuals the company was producing must be drawn up in the native language of the country the documents were being targeted at. Bachem UK Ltd was also directed to online information relating medical devices, which the adviser felt we would be of use to the company in the future.

Sales and marketing manager of Bachem UK Ltd, Judith Roberts, said, "I heard about Business Link's services through a radio advertisement and contacted them for help. Due to the nature of my enquiry, they put me in touch with EEN. I'm really pleased with the support and information they have supplied, it's been very useful indeed. We plan to use the EEN service again for other marketing exercises."
