Supporting Rainbow House The staff of Business Link Northwest have adopted Rainbow House, a charity specialising in providing services for children with brain injuries, disabilities and life-limiting conditions, as the charity they want to support. Staff will be carrying out fundraising activities, such as sponsored events like the ten mile Rainbow Ramble, prize draws and raffles, and dedicating their own time to help with the charity.
Selecting the charity Staff wanted a charity that they could collectively support and Business Link Northwest undertook a process to nominate one based in the region. Four shortlisted charities were presented to Business Link Northwest’s senior management team, and the presentations were then made available for all employees to vote on. Rainbow House was selected and now staff are undertaking a variety of fundraising activities.
“Rainbow House inspires prosperity in children by giving them a future. Its staff are incredibly passionate about the work they do and the support they offer to both parents and children. There is nothing else like Rainbow House available to the local community!”
Phil Proudfoot, Business Link Adviser.
Rainbow House offers an holistic approach to rehabilitation known as Conductive Education which aims to teach children life-enhancing techniques, through education, recreation and sports, so that they can live more independent lives within the community. It now serves over 170 children, and their families, through its purpose-built centre of excellence – The Legacy, and its range of outreach services.
